How it works

  1. Step 1

    Describe what you offer

Who it's for, what makes it different and the feeling you want people to have.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a tone

Catchy, professional, funny, inspiring, luxury or eco-friendly.

  3. Step 3

    Test the shortlist

Read your favorites to a few customers or friends and see which one they repeat back.

Short lines that say what makes you different

A slogan has a few seconds to tell people what you do and why they should care, on a storefront, a website header, a business card or a social media bio. Writing one is harder than it looks, because short copy leaves no room for vague words. This generator takes your business, audience and main benefit and writes 15 original slogans in your chosen tone, using different techniques such as rhyme, wordplay and benefit-led lines. Use it for a new business, a product launch, an event, a fundraiser or a school campaign. Treat the results as a strong first draft list you can refine and combine.

What makes a slogan work

Good slogans are short, specific and easy to repeat. Most strong ones are under seven words. They focus on one benefit or feeling rather than listing everything you do. 'Fresh bread before your alarm' says more about an early-opening bakery than 'Quality baked goods for everyone'.

The more specific your description, the better the results. Instead of 'a coffee shop', try 'a quiet coffee shop near campus where students study late'. That gives the generator a real audience and a real benefit to work with.

Mistakes to avoid

Avoid empty superlatives like 'the best' or 'number one'. Customers ignore them, and in many places advertising rules require such claims to be backed by evidence. Skip industry jargon your customers don't use, and don't try to squeeze in every product or service.

Also avoid slogans that sound too close to a famous brand's line; it confuses people and can cause legal trouble. Finally, check that the slogan still makes sense out of context, for example on a sticker or a delivery van where there's no other information.

Slogan vs. tagline vs. mission statement

People often use these words interchangeably, but they do different jobs. A tagline is a long-term line tied to your brand identity, often shown next to your logo. A slogan can be tied to a specific campaign, product or season and may change. A mission statement is a longer internal description of purpose.

This generator works for both slogans and taglines. For a tagline, describe your brand's core promise. For a campaign slogan, describe the specific offer, event or season you're promoting.
