Merge audio files without uploading them

Most online audio joiners upload your recordings to a server, which is slow for long files and not ideal for private voice notes, interviews or unreleased music. This audio merger works differently: it uses your browser's built-in audio engine to decode each file, place the tracks one after another and write the result as a single WAV file on your own device. Use it to join voice memos, podcast segments, audiobook chapters, song stems recorded in parts or ringtone clips.

Which formats can I merge?

Any format your browser can play: MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG and Opus work in all modern browsers, and FLAC works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. You can mix formats in one merge – for example an MP3 intro with a WAV recording.

The merged file is saved as WAV (16-bit), which plays everywhere and keeps the quality of your sources. If you need a smaller file, convert the WAV to MP3 afterwards with any converter or audio editor.

Sample rate and channels

When files have different sample rates, the merger uses the highest one and resamples the others, so nothing plays too fast or too slow. If any track is stereo, the output is stereo; mono tracks are played on both channels.

Tips for long files

Because everything happens on your device, very long merges use a lot of memory – WAV takes about 10 MB per minute of stereo audio. On a phone, merge in smaller batches if the page becomes slow, then merge the results. A laptop or desktop handles hours of audio more comfortably.

Frequently asked questions

Is the audio merger free?

Yes, it's free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of merges.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The files are read and merged inside your browser and the result is created on your device. Nothing is sent to our server.

Why is the merged file a WAV?

WAV can be written directly in the browser without losing quality and opens in every player and editor. Convert it to MP3 afterwards if you need a smaller file.

Can I add silence between tracks?

Yes. Set 'Pause between tracks' to the number of seconds you want, for example 1 or 2 seconds between podcast segments.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in current mobile browsers. For very long files a computer is faster because merging needs memory.
