Symbols you can't find on a keyboard

Most keyboards only offer a few dozen characters, but Unicode contains thousands of symbols. This page collects the ones people look for most – decorative hearts and stars for bios, arrows and check marks for lists, math and currency signs for documents, brackets and lines for dividers, and classic text faces such as the shrug. Each one copies as plain text, so it pastes into nearly any app. Nothing is sent to a server; the panel runs in your browser.

Using symbols in bios, lists and messages

A single symbol at the start of each line turns a plain list into something easier to scan – a check mark for done, an arrow for a next step, a star for a highlight. In social bios, a short row of hearts or sparkles can separate sections. Keep it light: too many symbols make text harder to read, and screen readers announce each one by name.

If a symbol shows as a box

A box or question mark means the device or app has no font with that character. Pick a more common symbol from the same group, or paste it into a different app to check. Emoji-style symbols can also look different on iPhone, Android and Windows, because each system draws its own artwork.

Frequently asked questions

How do I copy and paste a symbol?

Tap the symbol in the panel to copy it, then paste with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) or by long-pressing in a text field on your phone.

Are these symbols free to use?

Yes. They are standard Unicode characters, and you can use them anywhere text is accepted.

Will the symbols look the same everywhere?

Not always. Plain symbols are drawn by the font in use, and emoji are drawn by each platform in its own style, so details can differ between devices.

Can I also turn my text into cursive or bubble letters?

Yes. Use the fancy text generator on this site to convert your text into cursive, gothic, bubble, small caps and other styles.

Is anything stored or uploaded?

No. The panel works entirely in your browser.
